Wrapping skills of car protective film:
1. Comprehensive car wash
Before attaching the protective film, you must first perform a full car wash, especially where the car wash is usually overlooked, to ensure that there are no factors that affect the construction effect.
2. Check the vehicle
This step is to check the condition of the car to see if there are scratches, whether the paint is intact, whether there are pits, bumps and other defects (make a record for the customer to confirm, and take photos for evidence if necessary to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings) . Non-original car paint, that is, vehicles that have been repainted, it is not recommended to stick a protective film, because when the protective film is removed in the future, the paint may be glued away.
3. Film cutting
Cut the car film according to different parts of the car body (the beginning of each film and the bottom of the tube are not recommended to be used on the front and rear covers). After the coating protective film is removed, please apply the film as soon as possible to avoid crushing foreign objects. Tighten the leftovers and fix them with tape to avoid delamination of the release film and the mounting glue causing glue lines.
4. Lubrication
While tearing off the film, evenly spray the film liquid on the rubber surface to prevent electrostatic adsorption of dust and impurities, and ensure that the coating surface, the installation rubber surface, and the car paint surface are sufficiently lubricated.
5. Stereotype
Reserve a certain size according to the car condition to facilitate the rear edge wrap angle. When applying the film, it must be stretched accordingly, but not excessively stretched. Except for the door handle, rearview mirror, trunk and other places with large curvatures, the roof , The stretch rate of the car cover and door should not exceed 10%; the front and rear bumpers should not exceed 15% to prevent the coating from breaking.
6. Catch water
When rushing water, follow the principle of rushing water from top to bottom, from the middle to the four sides, and try to do it in one go to avoid bubbles and degumming caused by backflow of stagnant water.
If there are impurities such as floating dust in the adhesive layer, it can be opened evenly and slowly to remove the impurities, stay for a while to restore the original length and shape of the film, and then spray water to reattach it to avoid rework adhesive lines.
Rework should be carried out within 20 minutes after the film is applied. If the time is too long, the car film has been attached to the paint surface very firmly, which is not conducive to repositioning.
7. Take edge wrap angle
Precise cutting is performed along the edges of each part to avoid excessive tension during fine cutting, which may cause the car film to rebound. Then put the reserved car film into the side seam, and then use a baking gun to heat and bake, pay attention to the temperature of the film surface not to exceed 80 degrees.
8. Completion inspection
Comprehensively check the construction conditions of each part to ensure the construction effect, and finish the work after cleaning the membrane surface.
Note: One week after the above steps are completed, pay attention to avoid car washing and wind and rain. If you find curling, air bubbles, etc., you need to deal with it in time， return to the store for re-inspection one week later.
