How To Maintain The Paint Protection Film Ppf After Wrapped On Car

Feb 23, 2023

Maintaining paint protection film (PPF) on a car is relatively easy and straightforward. Here are some tips to help you keep your PPF looking great and functioning properly:

Wash the car regularly: It’s important to keep your car clean to prevent dirt, grime, and other debris from accumulating on the PPF. However, be sure to wait at least 7 days after installation before washing to allow the PPF to fully cure. Use a mild soap and a microfiber cloth to clean the PPF, and avoid using abrasive or high-pressure washers.

Avoid harsh chemicals: Avoid using harsh chemicals, such as solvents, gasoline, or brake cleaner, on the PPF as they can damage the film.

Use a protective sealant: Apply a protective sealant to the PPF to help keep it clean and prevent dirt and grime from adhering to the surface. Make sure to use a sealant that is compatible with the PPF and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for application.

Remove stains and bird droppings immediately: If you notice any stains or bird droppings on the PPF, remove them immediately to prevent them from damaging the film. Use a mild soap and water to gently clean the affected area.

Avoid parking under trees: Avoid parking your car under trees, as sap, bird droppings, and other debris can fall onto the PPF and cause damage.

Have the PPF inspected regularly: Have the PPF inspected regularly by a professional to ensure it is functioning properly and to identify any damage that may need to be repaired.

By following these tips, you can help ensure your PPF stays in great condition and provides long-lasting protection for your car’s paint.
