As we known, there are different types of t-shirt heat transfer materials available. We now stock PVC, PU, Glitter, Flock, hologram, Metallic etc cuttable heat transfer vinyl films with many colors. Here we will discuss the difference between PVC and PU heat transfer vinyl:
1. Polyurethane films(heat transfer vinyl) are the desired medium for t-shirt transfer graphics. These PU heat transfer vinyls tend to be thinner and more stretchable so they feel like part of the garment. This soft “hand” is what makes them so perfect for apparel graphics.
2. In addition to their softness and conformability, PU films are OekoTex Standard 100 compliant. They’re kid safe. Our heat transfer vinyl is korea quality
3. Our PU heat transfer vinyl with 33 colors(normal and neon colors). And PVC heat transfer vinyl with 24 colors. PU has more color to choose.
4. PVC T-shirt heat transfer films are generally thicker and less expensive. Being thicker means they’re less flexible and don’t quite have as soft a hand as PU.
5. And, as mentioned above, they’re not considered to be as safe for young children who may mouth the garment and its applique. So PVC films should only be used to decorate garments for adult wearers.
6. PVC is less expensive than PU, it resolve costs about 30% less than comparable PU-based material which makes it a good solution for your customers with tight budgets.
