On curved surfaces, it’s inevitable that you’ll experience some creases or creases. Take care to reposition the film when installing to avoid creases.
When needed, heat the film to soften and conform to shape.
It is important not to overheat the film. This can result in loss of film texture or gloss.
Each film has a different heat resistance and we recommend testing how much heat the material can withstand before applying to a test piece.
Sometimes, the folds or creases slowly transform into so-called “crow’s feet.” If you chop these off, they will flatten and become permanent wrinkles. Simply lift film and heat gently until wrinkles shrink, then reapply.
Carefully pull the film with both hands until the vinyl appears flat while still applying tension, placing the film on the surface.
Try scraping away any remaining crow’s feet, and if they still haven’t disappeared, repeat these steps until the creases finally disappear.
