FAQs About Vinyl Vehicle Wraps

Dec 07, 2022

Do color change wraps damage my original paint?

Not in the least! Any vinyl vehicle color wrap is adhered to your paint safely and precisely, just as our Paint Protection Films or Window Tint Films are. When the time comes that you would like to remove your vinyl vehicle wrap or replace it with a new one, the removal and reapplication process mirrors our other film-based packages.

Can vinyl color wraps act like a clear bra?

Clear bras and vinyl wraps are composed of completely different materials, so while any type of surface defect that may impact your finish will be stopped by a vinyl vehicle wrap, they are not commonly self-healing and will have to be removed or replaced afterwards. It is more wise to consider a PPF if you are merely looking for paint protection, and a vinyl vehicle wrap for aesthetic automotive changes.

How does a vinyl color wrap compare to a complete paint job?

The process is simpler, the cost is lower, and the options are limitless compared to fully repainting your automobile. With a vinyl vehicle color wrap or any type of graphic or color accent, it is adhered and cured in similar fashion to a clear bra, which takes a fraction of the time a full repaint or custom paint design would. Likewise, if custom graphics is what you are looking for, much more is aesthetically possible with a vinyl wrap.

What do most people get vinyl vehicle wraps for?

Most of our customers for vehicle wraps is to simply change the color of their automobile, or utilize our chrome delete services. Custom graphics and lettering is more frequently obtained by business clients with commercial fleet vehicles.
